MPP Enhanced Edition
The Message Processing Platform (MPP) provides a complete email security solution including virus, spam, fraud
and phishing protection, end-user quarantine review, content filtering, access-controls, denial of service prevention,
message stamping, message routing, SNMP monitoring, archival and more.
At the core of MPP is the policy-engine,
which enables configuration of all features on a per-address, per-domain or per-direction basis. Policy membership can
be stored in your existing LDAP user directory. MPP Enhanced Edition, the second generation of MPP, provides the
core MPP processing and policy capabilities and is upgradeable with commercial and open scanning plug-in modules.
MPP's unique approach to email security makes MPP ideal for a wide range of email security and compliance
applications. MPP is equally at home in the core of large, complex email filtering services or providing basic
virus, spam and content filtering.
MPP Enhanced can be deployed directly onto gateways running: Sendmail; Qmail; Postfix; CommuniGate Pro;
or Surgemail email servers, (Exim support is in Beta). MPP can also be used as a front-end to an existing
Exchange, Domino or GroupWise email system.
MPP Plugin-Modules
MPP scanning plug-ins represent the best-of-breed commercial and open source security technologies including
SpamAssassin, ClamAV, Kaspersky, Nod32, F-PROT, Sophos, Cloudmark and Mailshell. SpamAssassin and ClamAV
support is included in MPP Enhanced, other plug-ins must be purchased or used with existing valid licenses.
